“This is a team coming in setting a lot of records, had high expectations and delivered. This is a manifestation of all that hard work,” Jimenez said while being soaked by the LA squad. https://quimica-ufabc.com/ “You’ve got the celebration, you’ve got the beer poured on it and, most importantly, you get the World Series trophy.”

But as long as the Dodgers had outs left, there was always a chance. Dodgers manager Dave Roberts turned to seven different relievers to finish out the game, including Walker Buehler, who volunteered to pitch on Wednesday and recorded the final three outs. That gave the Dodgers’ offense more than enough time to strike.

New York remained without a title since its record 27th in 2009. The Yankees acquired Juan Soto from San Diego in December knowing he would be eligible for free agency after the 2024 Series. The 26-year-old star went 5 for 16 with one RBI in the Series heading into what will be intensely followed bidding on the open market.

Aided by a multitude of mistakes from the Yanks’ defense, the Dodgers scored five runs in the fifth. They then took the lead in the eighth inning with a pair of sacrifice flies by Gavin Lux and Mookie Betts. That helped them complete the five-run comeback, the largest to clinch a World Series in baseball history.

Yamamoto left his June 15 start after only two innings and was placed on the injured list the next day with a strained rotator cuff in his right shoulder He was transferred to the 60–day injured list in July 13. Yamamoto was activated off the injured list on September 10. In 18 starts for the Dodgers in 2024, he was 7–2 with a 3.00 ERA and 105 strikeouts. He made his playoff debut on October 8, in Game 1 of the National League Division Series, giving up five runs to the Padres in three innings. In his second start of the series, on October 12, he picked up his first postseason win, striking out two and allowed just two hits in five scoreless innings, retiring the last seven batters he faced, as the Dodgers won the series. He then made one start, in Game 4, in the National League Championship Series, allowing two runs on four hits in 4+1⁄3 innings, while striking out eight batters. In Game 2 of the 2024 World Series against the New York Yankees, Yamamoto pitched 6+1⁄3 innings, allowing just one run on one hit (a solo home run by Juan Soto).

It will be the 12th time these teams have met in the World Series, the most of any two teams in the league. It’s also the first appearance in the Fall Classic for two previous MVP winners who are favored to win it again: the Yankees’ Aaron Judge and the Dodgers’ Shohei Ohtani.

Despite losing in five games, the Yankees had more hits, more home runs, more stolen bases, and more walks over the course of the series. On the pitching side, they allowed far fewer base runners and held a lower ERA than the Dodgers. The Yankees, however, had poor defense throughout the series, which was highlighted by the five-run fifth inning in Game 5 that saw New York not convert three routine plays into outs. Yankees’ ace and Game 5 starter Gerrit Cole lamented on the inning, calling it „as bad as it gets „. Longtime New York baseball sportswriter Bill Madden would call the Yankees 2024 World Series loss one of the worst in franchise history, while fellow New York sportswriter Joel Sherman referred to the series as a dark cloud over the Aaron Boone and Aaron Judge era, who fell to 1-7 to non-AL Central teams in the postseason since 2017. In the lead-up to the series, Dodgers’ scouts told their players to put the ball in play and make the Yankees execute (this in reference to New York’s sloppy defense throughout the season).

Star wars open world game

The other concern here is that Star Wars Outlaws tries to include so many things — stealth, third-person shooting combat, vehicle racing, space combat, arcade-y minigames — that it can’t devote the necessary time to making any of them feel robust and complete. Exploring the open world made me wish I was playing Breath of the Wild or Skyrim. Every time I had to do combat, I wished I was playing Mass Effect instead. It’s not that the gameplay here is poorly designed, but that it’s very surface level.

The open world segments have a few breadcrumbs and intel here and there, but I do think the culmination of the open world design mastered by The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is evident here. Take a path towards your objective but if you get distracted and something catches your eye go for it!

To that end, the game’s quest log also separates your objectives into different categories that denote importance: Quests, Intel, Expert Info, and more. Simply wandering around different planets, stumbling upon quests, hunting down treasure, and generally vibing with the world is, by far, my favorite part of Outlaws. Kay can explore both the surface of planets and space around them, which are littered with crafting materials, paint jobs for your vehicles, new clothes, shiny objects Nix loves, and more.

Star Wars Outlaws is out now on PlayStation 5, Windows, and Xbox Series X. The game was reviewed on PS5 using a pre-release download code provided by Ubisoft. Vox Media has affiliate partnerships. The world’s hardest game

The World’s Hardest Game is an addictive puzzle game consisting of 30 incredibly challenging levels. The goal is simple: move your red block to the other end of the level whilst collecting any yellow coins scattered along the way. Although it sounds easy, there are many dangerous obstacles to dodge. The game requires quick movements and logical thinking. Do not play this game!

Unless you’re a speedrunning master, you will be dying repeatedly. That lets you learn the level and see where you’re going wrong. Look at how the obstacles move and plan your tactics for reaching the green square.

Ignore the mesmerizing visuals harkening back to classic cartoons, the cutesy protagonist, and awesome soundtrack; “Cuphead” is a soul-crushing run and gun platformer that also happens to be one big boss rush. Even though some opponents are slightly more manageable than others, every boss goes through numerous phases, with each one being exponentially harder than the last. Failure is to be expected, as memorizing a boss’ often complicated attack patterns is vital to standing any hope of victory. “Cuphead” will have each and every player begging to make a deal with the devil to finally get past King Dice or Dr. Kahl’s Robot.

It rewards mastery of its mechanics, patience, practice, and guile. Those who simply want to button bash their way through Sekiro won’t get very far. The game is easily the most unforgiving experience FromSoftware has ever crafted and is harder than any Souls game simply due to its lack of multiplayer and refusal to compromise. Yet those who conquer Sekiro will never have their skills questioned ever again.

Celeste is a game where the controls are polished to perfection, yet still requires precise skill from the player. Madeline must climb a mountain while avoiding spikes, timing mid-air dashes, evading horrifying enemies, and working against strong winds. And all of that is just in the easy base game. If the players choose to take on the more challenging B-Side stages; get ready for a world of hurt as you try, try … TRY again to get your jumps exactly right. Yet the game difficulty doesn’t end there; If you’re truly determined, there’s the absurd C-Side stages, and the ridiculously insane Golden Strawberry challenge. Hope that strawberry pie is worth it.
